Get Lucky

Get Lucky was FriendsWithYou’s first solo show in Miami in 2004 at the Box Gallery. This interactive installation invited visitors to open their minds and hearts to take part in a new religion where they are the central figure. Upon entering the space you were able to experience small furry deities that represented various human attributes. Love, good and evil, nature, health and all that is associated with that was
now present for each participant to approach however they wished. After each person was sent to visit the main deity, the Fur Liaison, a 10' foot white furry wizard atop a wooden slide. You could communicate with this god by pulling little geometric blocks to make sounds and wish. On this wonderful occasion everyone came to Get Lucky and it worked!
